Gap Year Progress

I can't believe that I'm already ONE-QUARTER THROUGH MY GAP YEAR. Time is going by waaaaaayyyyyy too quickly. Apparently Time Perception slows down when you're exposed to numerous new Experiences or when you're in a heightened State of Consciousness (eg Adrenaline, Cannabis, LSD etc), but it's still going on relentlessly. Hopefully if I go Overseas for my Medical Elective later in the Year, that the same 3 Months will feel much slower.

My Psychiatrist said that he never took more than 3 Months' off from Work. Wow. I know of several Doctors who became Consultants by Age 30, which meant that they NEVER took a Gap Year or Sabbatical up to that Point. I actually feel sorry for them now, they must be soooooooooo burnt out, never taking a proper Break. Apparently when Doctors rise up the Ranks, it becomes harder and harder to take extended Leave, with the Exception of Maternity Leave.  : (

I think I have to design a Timetable / Routine and stick to it to improve my Productivity, obviously with some time to chill out / "switch off". At least I finally obtained my Driver's Licence in January, so I've gotten that out of the Way.

I purposely made a Point NOT to study any Medicine for at least 3 Months. Actually it's more like ~ 3.5 Months since the Graduation Ceremony. I'm glad that I've taken an Academic Break and don't feel ashamed, but now I've forgotten so much, so will have to start studying it again from April 1st onwards (no, not a Joke), for knowledge maintenance, and also for Internship Interview Preparation (just in case they ask Medical Questions).
